An MP4 file with the settings your player needs

Start with the files you already have

Add supported MOV, MKV, AVI, WMV, WebM, FLV or other files. Review duration, dimensions and codecs in the queue. A recognized extension does not guarantee that damaged files or unsupported codec variants will open.

Choose the codec inside your MP4

MP4 is a container, so two MP4 files can use different video codecs. H.264 is a practical starting choice for playback compatibility. Separate HEVC and AV1 presets let you prepare files for players that support those codecs.

Prepare the picture and sound

Trim unwanted footage, rotate a sideways recording or crop the frame. Choose the audio tracks you need and adjust output resolution or quality. Subtitles can be burned into the picture or preserved in a compatible form, depending on your settings.

Convert a batch with room for exceptions

Apply queue settings or override an individual file. Check demanding footage with a short encoded sample. Save converted files to your chosen destination and review failed items before retrying.

MP4 conversion questions

Can I convert MOV or MKV to MP4?

Yes, the Suite accepts these common input containers. Conversion still depends on the video and audio streams inside the individual file.

Will conversion reduce quality?

Re-encoding can change quality. Select suitable quality settings and compare a sample. Compatible streams may use fast conversion, but edits and codec changes require encoding.

Can I make the MP4 smaller?

Yes. Use compression, bitrate or target-size controls, and reduce dimensions if appropriate. A smaller file can involve a visible quality tradeoff.

Does a YouTube preset upload my MP4?

No. A delivery preset prepares a local file with the selected settings. Uploading or publishing is a separate step.
