Set start and end points or keep several ranges. Join mode follows queue order and then each clip's range order. A joined output requires at least two queued media items.
Encoded joining normalizes dimensions and frame rates, padding the picture to preserve aspect ratio. Choose shared settings and check how portrait, landscape and silent clips fit together.
Auto can copy compatible streams or fall back to encoding. Lossless only supports eligible MP4, MOV or MKV joins with matching media properties and track layouts. Trimming, crop, filters, watermarks and other processing require encoding instead.
Add at least two video clips and arrange them with the queue controls.
Preview the recordings and trim unwanted sections. Check the order of any selected keep ranges.
Select a supported video format and resolution, then choose Auto, Encode or Lossless only as appropriate.
Select the output folder and start Join videos. Review the joins, picture framing and sound in the completed file.
| Option | When to choose it | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Auto | Let the program copy compatible streams or encode as needed. | Review the chosen output and any compatibility messages. |
| Encode | Combine different frame sizes or apply edits. | Choose the common picture size and quality. |
| Lossless only | Join matching clips without edits or re-encoding. | Use eligible MP4, MOV or MKV settings; incompatible jobs are rejected. |
Yes, through encoded joining. The output uses common dimensions and frame-rate settings, with padding to preserve the clips' aspect ratios.
No. Stream-copy joining needs matching codecs, dimensions, frame rates and compatible tracks, without conflicting edits. Use Lossless only to reject unsuitable combinations.
This workflow joins clips sequentially. It does not provide a transition library or an overlapping multitrack editing timeline.
The Cutter Joiner interface requires a video output in Join mode. Use Freemore MP3 Joiner for an audio-only joining task.
Put your clips in order and make one video with settings you can check.
