Zoom into the waveform to locate a word, pause or musical phrase. Drag a selection and refine its start and end values. Preview the region to check that both boundaries preserve what you need.
Export the selection to keep an excerpt. To remove an interruption, select the unwanted section and delete it. Preview the remaining audio and undo if needed.
Zero-crossing snapping helps avoid some boundary clicks. Fade In and Fade Out can soften a standalone clip's beginning and ending. Listen to the result: a fade may not suit every speech edit.
Export the whole audio or selected region. Pick MP3 for a compatible listening copy, or WAV/FLAC for lossless encoding of the edited audio. WAV cannot restore detail already lost in an MP3 source.
Open your MP3 and play the area you want to keep.
Drag a waveform selection, adjust its boundary times and preview. Add fades if needed.
In Convert / Export, choose selected-region scope and MP3. Save, then listen to the clip.
| Option | When to choose it | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Keep one excerpt | Create a quote, sample or short listening clip | Export the selection rather than the whole recording. |
| Remove an unwanted section | Delete a mistake inside a longer take | Preview the new join between the remaining passages. |
| Split a long recording | Create multiple pieces using markers or silence detection | The split workflow saves pieces as WAV; convert separately if MP3 is needed. |

The editor processes decoded audio. Exporting an edited MP3 requires encoding, so this is not lossless MP3 stream cutting.
Yes. Edit selection start and end values, then preview the region before exporting.
Yes. Supported WAV, FLAC, M4A/AAC and other files use the same waveform workflow. Codec compatibility still matters.
