Inspect what is inside the WebM
Review the file's video and audio information. WebM identifies the container; codecs determine how streams are decoded. The Suite accepts WebM input, but unsupported streams or damaged files can still fail.

Select MP4 H.264 for a playback copy, or HEVC or AV1 if your destination supports them. The output preset determines the codec; changing the extension alone cannot make streams compatible.
Retain original dimensions and frame rate when those suit your destination. Crop or rotate when necessary, and select the audio tracks you want. Check the resulting sound as well as the picture, especially when the source and output use different audio codecs.
Set quality, bitrate or target size, then inspect an encoded sample for motion, text and gradient artifacts. Use queue settings for consistent output, with individual overrides for unusual sources.
Open the Suite and drag files into the queue. Review source information and choose the clips to process.
Choose an MP4 preset. Adjust resolution, audio or compression only as needed for the intended player.
Select a destination, test a sample if needed, then convert. Open the resulting MP4 to check playback and sound.
| Option | When to choose it | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| H.264 MP4 | The destination needs an MP4 with familiar playback support. | Verify the target accepts the selected audio settings. |
| Original dimensions | The source already has the frame size you need. | Avoid enlarging the image without a reason. |
| Smaller output | You need a lighter copy for storage or sharing. | Compare detail and motion in an encoded sample. |
No. Renaming leaves the original container and streams unchanged. Use an MP4 output preset to create a properly converted file.
No. Codec changes, edits and many output presets require re-encoding. Fast conversion only copies streams when the specific input and output are compatible.
Select an included audio track and a compatible output audio codec. Check the sample or finished file; a source with no audio cannot supply a soundtrack.
