Start with a local FLV file
Inspect your FLV's duration, dimensions and codecs. FLV identifies the container, not a particular codec. The Suite accepts FLV input, but damaged files and unsupported streams may still fail.
Audio Video Suite for Windows
Give an older FLV clip a useful new format. Freemore Audio Video Suite converts supported FLV files to MP4, with trimming and output settings in the same workflow.

Choose an MP4 preset supported by your player. H.264 is a useful starting point. Keep original dimensions unless resizing is needed; enlarging old footage does not restore lost detail.
Use the preview and trim controls to keep the useful section of a long recording. You can also crop, rotate and adjust the picture or audio. Check a converted sample so changes remain appropriate for the source rather than making artifacts more obvious.
Legacy FLV output presets serve workflows that specifically request them. Creating an FLV does not provide a Flash browser plugin. Choose the output for your actual application or player.
Drag the file into the Suite. Check that the preview and audio open correctly before making other changes.
Select MP4 H.264 or another suitable preset. Trim unwanted sections and keep or adjust the original dimensions.
Convert a sample, inspect picture and sound, then choose an output folder and convert the full clip.
| Option | When to choose it | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| MP4 H.264 | Make a new copy for a compatible video player. | Check source quality and the final audio track. |
| FLV | An existing application explicitly asks for FLV. | Confirm its codec requirements before converting. |
| Audio output | You only need the sound from the recording. | Select an audio preset such as MP3 instead of video. |
Yes. Local FLV conversion runs on your Windows PC and saves the output in the folder you choose.
No. The Suite converts media files. An FLV or SWF output preset does not install or restore a browser plugin.
Changing resolution does not recreate detail absent from the source. Start with sensible dimensions and inspect a sample before choosing stronger adjustments.
Yes. Add multiple files to the queue, choose common output settings and use per-file overrides when the recordings differ.
Turn a stored FLV recording into a format suited to its next use.
