Free image resizer: fit, crop or change dimensions

Prepare a picture for a different space or display size. Freemore Audio Video Suite combines image output with dimension controls, aspect-ratio settings and fit, crop or stretch choices.

  • Resize supported pictures and save a new image copy.
  • Keep proportions or choose how the picture fits new dimensions.
  • Use common output settings for several images in a queue.

Resize the picture without guessing how it will fit

Choose an image output first

Add a supported JPG, PNG, BMP, WebP or TIFF image, then choose a still-image output such as JPG or PNG. Review the dimension controls available for that output.

Set dimensions and proportions

Output settings include original or custom dimensions, half size, quarter size and an aspect-ratio lock. Keep width and height proportional when you want to avoid distorting the subject.

Decide what happens at the edges

Letter Box fits the complete picture with padding where needed. Crop fills the chosen shape by removing edges. Stretch changes proportions to fill the dimensions; check subjects for distortion.

Inspect the resized copy

Use source/output size examples and the image preview to review the result. Save a copy and check its dimensions and appearance. Enlarging a small picture alone does not recover missing detail.

How to resize a picture

1. Add the source image

Open Freemore Audio Video Suite and add the picture or batch you want to resize.

2. Choose format and dimensions

Select a still-image output, set the required size and decide whether to keep the aspect ratio.

3. Select fit and save

Choose the appropriate fit, crop or stretch behavior, convert and inspect the output before using it.

Image resizing questions

Can I keep the original aspect ratio?

Yes. An aspect-ratio lock is available in the dimension controls. Choose appropriate fit behavior when the destination shape differs from the original picture.

Will reducing dimensions always produce a smaller file?

Not necessarily. File size also depends on output format and encoding settings. Check the exported file rather than assuming a fixed reduction from its dimensions.

Can I make a small image sharp by enlarging it?

Ordinary resizing cannot reconstruct detail that is absent from the source. The suite has a separate local AI upscaling workflow, with results dependent on the image and processing settings.

Can I resize multiple pictures together?

Yes. Add several images and apply shared output settings or individual overrides. Images with different proportions may need different crop or fit choices, so review the results.
